The review and selection process for articles in the journal Espirales is rigorous and detailed. Initially, the Editorial Committee evaluates the manuscripts based on their scientific quality, thematic relevance, and timeliness. It may accept, reject, or request modifications to bring the documents into line with the journal's standards. The articles are then submitted to a double-blind review by two external reviewers, who may recommend approval without changes, with minor changes, with major changes, or rejection. In case of disagreement between the reviewers, the Editor may intervene or request additional reviews. The anonymity of authors and reviewers is essential in this process. Authors will receive feedback by email, allowing them to make the necessary corrections. Once adjusted, the article is reviewed again to ensure that the suggestions have been followed. This review and acceptance process can take approximately four months, and receipt of an article does not guarantee its automatic publication.
